Anointing of the Sick

Those who are seriously ill need the special help of God’s grace in their time of anxiety. That is why, through the Sacrament of Anointing, Christ strengthens the faithful who are afflicted by illness. Thus, the sick person is able not only to bear suffering bravely, but also to fight against it.

Arrangements can be made for this Sacrament by phoning the parish office. In the event of accident or sudden illness, please call immediately at any time of the day or night.

All Buffalo area hospitals are served by a Catholic chaplain. Do not hesitate to ask for the Catholic chaplain whenever hospitalized. When any member of the family is taken to the hospital, please notify the parish office.

Communion is taken to the homebound every First Friday by a priest or Special Minister of the Eucharist. Special Ministers of the Eucharist are also available to bring Communion to parishioners on weekends when they are unable to attend Mass.
